Community Health Aide Program Certification Board Board Members
The Community Health Aide Certification Board (CHAPCB) is composed of healthcare professionals representing the diverse components of the Health Aide programs. Membership includes:
- One federal representative appointed by the Area Director for the Alaska Area Native Health Service;
- One State of Alaska representative appointed by the Director of the Division of Public Health; and
- The remaining 10 positions are determined by a variety of tribal groups representing the interests of each of the three Health Aide disciplines.
CHAPCB operates under the authority of Section 119 of the Indian Health Care Improvement Act, 25 U.S.C. Section 16161.
