ADTEP Contract Faculty & Instructor Gregory T. Smith, DDS, MSD

Dr. Smith graduated from the University of Washington School of Dentistry in 1979 and served in the USPHS Indian Health Service as a Commissioned Officer for 26 years and then as a Civil Servant until 2019. He is Board Certified in Periodontics and served as the IHS’s National Consultant in Periodontics from 2005-2019. He has taught introductory Periodontics and Dental Hygiene for several years for Dental Health Aide Therapists in training. Dr. Smith divides his time between clinical periodontics and periodontal consultation and training. He is currently employed in the tribal dental program on the Gila River Indian Community in Arizona.
