ADTEP Clinical Director Charles Truncale, DMD

Dr. Truncale graduated from the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine in 2000 and completed a one year General Practice Residency (GPR) at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda MD in 2001. He is a commissioned officer in the United States Public Health service with three decades of combined uniformed service experience in the U.S. Navy, Coast Guard, and Indian Health Service.  In 2015, his family moved to Alaska and have lived in Juneau, Kodiak and Anchorage.  Dr. Truncale has held multiple leadership roles, including Associate Director of Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) Residency for NYU Langone at Southeast Regional Health Consortium in Juneau Alaska from 2017-2019, and is currently the Clinic Director for the Alaska Dental Therapy Education Program.  He enjoys domestic and international dental mission work.
