May 6 @ 10:30 am - 12:00 pm

The Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium (ANTHC) has developed holographic visualizations of data and neurophysiology to promote greater behavioral health literacy with Alaska Native communities and to reduce the social stigma of treatment. During this session, participants will view a livestream of a hologram, projected in the Microsoft Hololens2 platform, that shows the effects of substance use on brain structures and functions. Participants will learn how to generate a 3D model using a cell phone.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Describe the difference between virtual reality and augmented reality.
  2. Discuss the potential advantages and disadvantages of augmented reality in communicating behavioral health information.
