The Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault training scheduled for November 30 – December 3 has been postponed until after the holidays.  The new dates for this training will be posted as soon as they are set and confirmed.

For Session III and above CHAs: The Anchorage CHAP Training Center, along with Alaska Legal Services and Tundra Women’s Coalition, specialized training in domestic violence and sexual assault for Community Health Aides at the Session III level and above.

The training will be in two sessions:
The first session will be held from November 30 through December 3, 2021.
The second session will be held in December 2022.

Participating health aides will have to attend both sessions to qualify for a specialty certificate that will be given. CHAs need to get approval from their field supervisor and CHAP Director in order to attend. Due to ongoing COVID concerns, the first session will be by Zoom. Hopefully, the session in December 2022 will be held face-to-face in Anchorage.
