Applying for Certification

The Community Health Aide Program Certification Board (CHAPCB) reviews applications for Health Aide in Alaska. Applicants who meet the requirements outlined in the CHAPCB Standards and Procedures will be issued formal certification. Certifications are valid for a two-year term, during which Health Aides must maintain compliance with the requirements of their certification.

The Office of CHAPCB receives applications from the Health Aide’s employer, screens for completeness, tracks status, and may issue temporary certifications between CHAPCB meetings. Formal action to approve or deny applications occurs during the regular CHAPCB meetings.

The application processing fee is $750.00.

Applications must be submitted electronically to: chapcb@anthc.org

Complete applications received by September 30, 2024 will be reviewed for final determination at the next Certification Board meeting on October 10-11, 2024.

Temporary certifications will not be issued from September 30 through October 25, 2024 due to the Certification Board meeting activities.
